We don’t work for the insurance company.
The Damage Verified Research Team was founded to solve a single, massive problem: Information Asymmetry.
When disaster strikes your home, you are suddenly thrown into a high-stakes negotiation with multi-billion dollar corporations. They have the adjusters, the engineers, and the lawyers. Who do you have?
Damage Verified is a forensic research library designed to act as your “Digital Mercenary.” We provide the data, the IICRC standards, and the legal scripts necessary to level the playing field.
“Our mission is to translate the secret language of the insurance industry into actionable weapons for homeowners. If a claim is being lowballed, steered, or wrongfully denied, we provide the verification needed to fight back.”
We do not accept “referral fees” from contractors or kickbacks from insurance carriers. Our revenue comes from transparency, not steering.
Our content is based on the IICRC S500/S520 standards, NADCA duct cleaning codes, and 50-state matching statutes.
We believe that the “Preferred Vendor” system is often a conflict of interest. We advocate for independent evaluation in every claim.
Our Independent Review Board
To ensure total accuracy, all ‘Damage Verified’ protocols are vetted by a rotating board of industry experts, including:
- Licensed Public Adjusters
- IICRC Master Restorers
- Forensic Structural Engineers
- Consumer Protection Attorneys
Our Editorial Standard
Every article on this site undergoes a three-stage verification process:
- Forensic Review: Does this align with current scientific standards for drying, fire, or mold?
- Policy Review: Is this advice compliant with standard ISO insurance policy language?
- Logistical Review: Is this advice practical for a homeowner living through a disaster?
Transparency Note
The Damage Verified Research Team is a privately funded organization. We do not participate in insurance carrier ‘Preferred Vendor Programs.’ Our primary allegiance is to the property owner.
